miaou-stachioed asked: What has been your most memorable fashion moment?
ifwelivethatlong asked: That picture of you in Harry Potter glasses reminds me of the photograph of silent star Mildred Davis wearing her husband Harold Lloyd's glasses! :)

We always open all our gifts on Christmas Eve, so this morning I slept in until around 10:30 and then woke up and ate a bunch of the leftover cake and croissants from work, while watching the end of Home Alone.
Now I’m finishing folding my insane pile of laundry and watching Micmacs, trying to think of things to put on my kindle, and eating fruit slice candy.

Does anyone have that hilarious gif of when Lupin turns into a werewolf and Siruis gets tossed to the right like a little ragdoll? I could have sworn I had it but now I can’t find it :(

Please read, because it is important, and worth it, and she is magnificent.
Tomorrow I am going over to my pal Kim’s to watch LotR extended editions ALL DAY LONG.
SO EXCITED FOR WEEKS. It is going to be awesome.
PKD: Did you get to keep your Malfoy wig?
Jason Isaacs: No, I didn’t. I did ask for it, funnily enough. There were many, many wigs. The style changed over the years – it ended up being slightly more Lady Gaga in the final incarnation. It started as Pamela Anderson, I think. There were many of them and I don’t know where they are – forming a band or something, I think.
Pretty sure this means someone needs to (if they haven't already) start a wrock band called Lucius Malfoy's Wigs, or something equally hilarious.
I finished listening to Never Let Me Go on audiobook, in just a little over two days, and after that (which was about an hour ago) I decided to watch The Unbearable Lightness of Being, also known as the movie I will hysterically sob over every single time.
The downside is that my heart is so broken I don’t know how I will get up and go to work in the morning. The upside is I have...
spheres asked: Aw thank you! Lately I've been using MAC's Haute & Naughty Lash and Liquidlast eyeliner. :)
Anonymous asked: Do you ever get rude internet comments? Your blog is so lovely I feel like it would be odd to attack you for anything, but the internet is a strange place with plenty of strange people.
The problem is that then I fall asleep on the floor.
My new favorite thing to do is to lie on my floor with a pillow, next to my space heater, and listen to audibooks on my DVD player (I don’t have a CD player, just a Bose I plug my ipod into, and my laptop).
Audiobooks are one of my favorite things in general. Mostly I listen to them in the car, since I spend so much time in it, but then I always sit in the car for half an hour in the...
I’m selling some of my vintage thingers I never wear. I’ve just listed six, because if I wait till I get the lot of them up there, it will be forever. I need money for Christmas presents and car payments something awful this week!

clandestineintheclassroom asked: I'm actually in awe that you managed to complete all of that work in three days. I feel like I've been reworking my introduction to this essay for days and days to no end...and when I scroll down I remember I have nothing else written.
What's eating the Titanic? →

A newly discovered species of rust-eating bacteria, researchers say. The sunken ship is likely to be reduced to little more than a rust stain in less than 30 years.
It’s been 84 years and I can still smell the fresh paint. The china had never been used. The sheets had never been slept in. Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really...
It looked like a clump of small dusty nettles growing wild a the gable of the house beyond where we dumped our refuse and old bottles: unverdant ever, almost beneath notice. But, to be fair, it also spelled promise and newness in the backyard of our life as if something callow yet tenacious sauntered in green alleys and grew rife. The snip of scissor blades, the light of Sunday, mornings when the...
